Dec 29th, 2017 | Day 20

Matthew 6:33

But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

Sunday is New Year’s Eve. 2018 is quickly approaching. It’s likely that you’ll make a New Year’s resolution. Many will choose to lose weight, read more, or simply work fewer hours. Sadly, many of these resolutions fade into the sunset by say…January 2nd!

But I want to challenge you to make a New Year’s resolution that will stick. Make that resolution all about Jesus. Commit to knowing him more deeply. Find time for prayer. Make choices that strategically take you to new and fresh places. Yes, it will be hard at times, but Jesus is so worth it!

I pray that you have a wonderful 2018 and that Jesus will make his face to shine upon you and yours.

A new year provides a wonderful opportunity for a fresh start.

  1. What would you need to give up in order to make Jesus your number one thing?
  2. How would your life change if he was your highest priority?
  3. Take a moment and pray that Jesus would be closer to you in 2018 than ever before.

Jesus, I want to know you. I want to experience you. I want to feel you. I want to be immersed in you. Help me to know you better. Help me to make you the most important thing in my life. Amen.
