Jesus - Born to Save

An 2020 Advent Series

Making Jesus Known by Living Like Him

Jesus gave the greatest sermon of all time on a hillside overlooking the Sea of Galilee. It has become known as “The Sermon on the Mount.” As we study Matthew 5-7, we’ll see that the Lord’s words provide a manual for proper Christian conduct. Living by the values of Christ’s Kingdom will be a magnet to non-believers who are longing to see authentic faith. We can have a huge impact on the world when we “Make Jesus Known by Living Like Him."

Walking with Jesus to the Cross

Easter is only a few weeks away. So, we’ll step into the Gospel of John for a few weeks and walk with Jesus to the cross. Here is where the Lord’s substitutionary sufferings for the world begins.

Strangers & Aliens (1 Peter)

Learning how we can stand firm, endure trials, say no to fear, love others well, and Impact the world for Christ in a hostile and changing culture.

2019 Advent

Taking time to explore aspects of Jesus that are vitally important to our understanding of him. This is a time of year when people are talking about him. It’s a perfect time to develop a deep and truthful understanding of his ministry and personhood.

Be BOLD

It takes courage to shine a light for Christ. Like Joshua’s bold leadership that led Israel into the Promised Land, we desire to exhibit the courage to Illuminate our city, overcome darkness, and Make Jesus Known Through Community Impact.

Key Verse:

Joshua 1:6
Be strong and courageous, for you shall cause this people to inherit the land that I swore to their fathers to give them.

Breakthrough

Breakthrough - Faith Beyond Sunday

Ridgewood Church will be breaking through in order to find new life outside of “just” attending church on Sunday. We desire that each person at Ridgewood finds new life wherever he/she lives out normal life experiences.

Key Passage: Psalm 107:13-16
Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress. He brought them out of darkness, the utter darkness, and broke away their chains. Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind, for he breaks down gates of bronze and cuts through bars of iron.
